Wood had been on a weekend boat trip with her husband, Robert Wagner, her then co-star Christopher Walken, and the captain, Dennis Davern, and they all claimed to have not seen her "disappear," although an autopsy report revealed she was found with bruises all over her body and a cut on her left cheek. Her death was ruled as an "accident" for years until 2011, when Dennis Davern confessed that he had lied to the police in the initial investigation, and that Wood and Wagner had had an argument the night of her death. Her death certificate has now been amended to "undetermined" and it will likely stay that way.
It would be no surprise if her spirit were haunting the vessel, and that's precisely what the current owner of the yacht, Ron Nelson, says is happening. He claims that he has had several spooky accidents while on the boat and felt an unsettling presence in the bedroom.
"I've been hurt twice on the boat mysteriously. Weird falls. It's just like my feet came out from under me and I fell," Nelson told Radar Online.
He's also felt an unsettling presence in the bedroom while on a trans-Pacific trip to Hawaii.

"Something sat down on the bed and then left," he said.
Nelson was frightened enough to enlist the help of two Hawaiian priests to exorcise the ghost from the vessel, but it didn't seem to work, and now the haunted owner is looking to sell.
Of course, a more cynical person might say that Nelson is using the prospect of being haunted by a ghostly Hollywood starlet as a bargaining chip, given that The Splendour has recently suffered serious damage following a recent hurricane. But then, who are we to judge the mysterious workings of the Otherworld?
